We caught lightning in a bottle when we teamed up with the Human Needs Project and the Degenerate Trash Pandas to take a stand against plastic pollution. As Ben Von Wong's Giant Plastic Tap made headlines around the world, over one hundred thousand dollars was raised for HNP's work in Kenya, and the United Nations voted to begin the process of creating a global plastics treaty.

This remarkable project catalyzed the world’s first plastic treaty and funded additional critical initiatives for the people of Kibera around responsible consumption and disposal of plastics.

-- David Warner, Executive Director, Human Needs Project

The Giant Plastic tap installation was created by international artist and activist Benjamin Von Wong at the UN Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya in February 2022.
